Ike basically botched up WWII in case you don't know his true record. Much of what he did not only ruined General 'Georgie' Patton, but helped the communist side of the world, to a great extent. If you have not read about 'Operation Keelhaul', I believe it was called, go and do just a little reading and understand what a morally deficient, or dumb, or ignorant leader Ike really was, militarily, and you will begin to understand the bigger picture. Ike was a world player, not just a U.S. leader.
As far as the Nazis which Ike knew surrounded him by the time he left office, they were brought in under 'Operation Paperclip' by the former OSS, Office of Strategic Services, which was the forerunner of the C.I.A., and Ike knew he'd probably suffer the same fate as 'Georgie' Patton, who, ostensibly, may have been killed by communists rather than Nazis, if he did not play ball.
Many, if not most, persons in the general public still don't understand what a capitulation the US suffered of World War II , Korean War, and Viet Nam War. This country has had and still has a virtual gun to our heads and the heads of our leaders for a long time, and Joseph McCarthy, who may have gone somewhat overboard in the HUAAC hearings, was actually correct.
People, generally, still cannot get the truth because the Russian-Israeli Mafia apparently 'enforces' for the mainslime, bought off U.S. Media, and vital information is blacked out and literally kept from public view, so unless citizens are willing to take time to read foreign publications, historical documents, and go to the internet, they won't know at all what is actually going on around them.
